Unclear abdominal pain can have many causes, ranging from harmless functional disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome to more serious problems like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gallstones, infections, or rare allergies. Therefore, if pain persists, is severe, or is accompanied by symptoms (fever, vomiting, blood in stool), it is essential to consult a doctor.

In our practice, we offer comprehensive clinical and sonographic examinations. If necessary, we will initiate further diagnostic or therapeutic measures for you.

A hernia is the protrusion of abdominal organs through a congenital or acquired weakness in the abdominal wall, which manifests as a bulge and can cause pain or a pulling sensation. The most common types are inguinal, umbilical, and incisional hernias. They do not heal on their own, can become incarcerated, and are often surgically repaired with synthetic mesh to prevent recurrence.

Diagnosis is made clinically and sonographically. If operative treatment is indicated, we will issue you a referral to a surgical clinic.

An ingrown toenail occurs when the nail grows into the skin on the side, leading to pain, redness, swelling, and often inflammation, which can also produce pus. Causes are often improper cutting, shoes that are too tight, excessive sweating, or genetic predisposition.

After a clinical examination and surgical consultation, the outpatient surgery takes place in our practice. The affected toe will be numbed and the ingrown piece will be cut out. No sutures are necessary. You will not have any restrictions post-operatively. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled in 10 days.

Skin changes can occur in various ways throughout life. Some skin changes are a sign of disease and therefore require treatment. These skin changes are caused by light, genetics, or the normal aging process. For a noticeable skin change, outpatient surgical excision with subsequent histological examination is recommended.

In medicine, a tumor initially refers generally to an abnormal mass of tissue or neoplasm that arises from uncontrolled cell proliferation. This is not necessarily cancer – a tumor can be benign, malignant, or borderline (semimalignant).

The treatment of tumors of any type and size always consists of an excision followed by a histological examination in the laboratory.

Hemorrhoids are usually harmless vascular cushions in the anal canal that are present in everyone and serve to seal the anus. They only become problematic when they enlarge and cause symptoms such as itching, pain, bleeding, or oozing (hemorrhoidal disease). Causes often include straining, sedentary activities, or pregnancy. Treatments range from a high-fiber diet and lifestyle changes (for mild forms) to medical procedures such as sclerotherapy, rubber band ligation, or surgery (for advanced stages).
