With an ingrown toenail, the nail grows deep into the tissue. This leads to a very painful inflammation of the surrounding soft tissue.

For a classic ingrown toenail, Emmert plastic surgery is recommended. With this procedure, after local anesthesia, a nail strip approximately 3mm wide, including the ingrown portion, is removed.

Lipedema

Lipedema is a chronic and painful fat tissue distribution disorder that occurs almost exclusively in women on the lower extremities as well as the arms.

The typical signs of lipedema include feelings of tightness and pain in the legs. Additionally, patients also suffer from high sensitivity to touch. Visually, nodules are visible in the tissue. Lipedema can place a significant burden on patients, not only physically but also psychologically.

Endovenous laser ablation

Endovenous laser therapy is a minimally invasive surgery for treating varicose veins. This procedure is an alternative to traditional vein stripping and ligation.

Using a puncture, the laser can be inserted into the vein. Here, the vein is then sealed from the inside by the laser and thus closed. This procedure is performed in our practice on an outpatient basis and under local anesthesia every Wednesday. For the post-operative course, it is important that you wear your compression stockings continuously for ten days.

Branch surgery

A side branch operation is a minor outpatient procedure, performed under local anesthesia, to remove superficial varicose veins. The varicose veins are pulled out through minimal incisions on the leg using a hook. The incision sites are surgically sutured. 10-14 days after the procedure, a follow-up examination including suture removal will take place at our practice. Between the operation and the suture removal, you must wear your compression stockings continuously during the day and also at night.
